A LITTLE KITCHEN HELP
A cup is not a weight. Different ingredients fill a cup differently. Choose yours for a useful estimate.
IngredientOld-fashioned rolled oats Plain flour Wholemeal wheat flour Oat flour Chickpea flour Liquids: plant milk, water, stock Quinoa, dry Quinoa, cooked Bulgur, dry Brown rice, cooked Chia seeds Ground flaxseed Pumpkin seeds Sunflower seeds Sesame seeds Desiccated coconut Cacao / cocoa powder Chocolate, chopped Ground almonds (almond meal) Flaked almonds Walnuts, whole Walnuts, chopped Cashews Coconut oil Fresh raspberries Frozen mixed berries Dried apricots, chopped Amount Convert fromCups → grams Grams → cups
US cups (about 237 ml), level and loosely filled. 1 tbsp = 15 ml; 1 tsp = 5 ml. Gram and ml results round up to the next 5. Weights vary by brand and how you fill the cup. A scale is best for chocolate.
